A consortium of entrepreneurial families, represented by the multi-family office Verium AG, has acquired a significant minority stake in TW1 Management AG (“TW1” or “the TW1 Group”) as part of a capital increase. The investment is intended to further accelerate TW1’s growth strategy as a succession partner for family businesses in facility management. The founders, Marcel Brod and Alexander Geng, remain the largest shareholders and continue to be the driving force behind the company.
TW1 was founded with the aim of offering owner-managed facility management businesses in the DACH region a sustainable succession solution. In light of the rising number of unresolved succession situations, TW1 relies on acquisition models that secure the continuity of these businesses and enable their long-term development. Today, TW1 Group comprises 12 locations, more than 470 employees, and manages over 2’500 properties.
Marcel Brod and Alexander Geng, founders of TW1: “Over the past few years, we have grown strongly and successfully guided numerous family businesses into their next phase. With Verium, we are gaining an entrepreneurially minded, long-term-oriented partner who shares our values and supports us through its network. Together, we intend to consistently pursue our growth path.”
A long-term partnership
Through its partnership with Verium, TW1 gains not only substantial growth financing but also access to an established network in the real estate and SME sectors. This is an ideal complement to the founders’ entrepreneurial experience and their strong operational execution capabilities. Both parties view the investment as a long-term partnership — with the shared ambition of establishing TW1 as the leading group for succession solutions in facility management.
“Marcel and Alexander are entrepreneurs at heart and offer strong operational capabilities. They interact with their partner companies, employees, and customers with respect and a high standard of quality and continuity. This entrepreneurial mindset and long-term perspective are an ideal fit with our investment philosophy,” says George Merk of Verium. “We look forward to actively supporting TW1’s continued development and contributing our experience.”
