In September 2022, after an excellent development, the MiT Group was sold to Verium I SCSp, a continuation fund consisting of the MiT Group and Toradex. Thus, Verium reinvested in the company to build on the successful cooperation with the experienced management team and to continue the organic as well as inorganic growth strategy. At the time of the sale, the group operated a broad equipment pool with more than 450 units in the heating and cooling segments, complemented by a comprehensive range of services in water damage restoration.

Verium invested in Toradex in 2016, and in the following years the company was fully professionalized and successfully positioned to benefit as a leading company from the strong growth in demand for industrial embedded computing as well as SaaS solutions in the long term. In September 2022, Toradex was sold to Verium I SCSp, a continuation fund consisting of Toradex and the MiT Group. Thus, Verium reinvested in Toradex to continue its organic growth together with the management team. At the time of the sale, Toradex was already selling more than 500,000 System-on-Modules per year worldwide.

The company was established and acquired the first master franchise in Switzerland in 2007. During Verium’s holding period, Home Instead Holding acquired the master franchises of Ireland in 2017 as well as the Netherlands and France in 2020. It simultaneously managed to successfully expand its network by granting sub-franchises to grow market presence and at the same time buying back established branches from sub-franchisees in order to realize synergies, professionalize the organization and fully capitalize the underlying growth opportunities.

At entry in 2014, Verium was convinced about the underlying macro trends in the senior care market driving strong market growth, which could be captured by a scalable business model with tangible operational improvements, particularly through further digitalization and a clear roll-out plan for international buy-and-build opportunities within the existing franchise network.

In 2021, Verium together with the founder and CEO Paul Fritz, sold the company after achieving a stellar growth rate of 35% CAGR over the seven-year holding period to Unigestion acting as lead investor. The management team around Paul Fritz and Verium still hold a significant stake in the company.

After a holding period of 17 months, swiss smile was successfully sold to the private equity investor EQT. During Verium`s investment period, two other larger dental practices were opened and the annual level of revenue almost doubled. The range of services offered by swiss smile has broadened significantly and profitability has increased accordingly.

During Verium’s three-year holding period, it opened 27 fitness centers and multiplied both revenue and operating income. Optivac AG is a leading specialist for coating optical components such as lenses and prisms.
